AEG and Archer Aviation Plan Downtown Los Angeles Vertiport at L.A. Live

Sports and entertainment presenter AEG has formed a partnership with Archer Aviation to build a dedicated vertiport at the L.A. Live entertainment complex in Downtown Los Angeles. The facility is intended to serve vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, supporting Archer's planned network of urban air taxis.

While project partners have not confirmed the exact footprint inside the L.A. Live campus, industry observers suggest a parking garage roof deck serves as the prime candidate for the infrastructure. Archer claims its electric aircraft will eventually ferry passengers across metropolitan Los Angeles in 10 to 20 minutes once commercial services launch. The initiative follows Archer's acquisition of a ground lease at Hawthorne Municipal Airport earlier this year to anchor its regional base.
