Draft EIR Published for Onni Group’s 46-Story Residential Tower on Wilshire Boulevard

After a three-year quiet period, plans for Onni Group's apartment tower on the Miracle Mile are advancing, with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning publishing a draft environmental impact report (EIR). The proposed Wilshire and Cloverdale project at 5350-5376 Wilshire Boulevard envisions a 46-story high-rise offering 419 one- and two-bedroom dwellings, alongside 2,645 square feet of ground-floor restaurant space and parking for 443 vehicles.

The development seeks Transit Oriented Communities (TOC) incentives, allowing for increased density and height due to its proximity to the recently completed Wilshire/La Brea subway station. In exchange for these entitlements, the tower will incorporate 47 units designated for extremely low-income affordable housing. MVE + Partners is designing the approximately 530-foot-tall structure, which draws architectural inspiration from the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s. The project also plans to retain 42,000 square feet of existing commercial uses, including the historic Dark Room building. Construction is projected to span three years following groundbreaking, contributing to the evolving high-rise landscape of the Miracle Mile.
