Los Angeles-based real estate investment manager Stockdale Capital Partners has launched a dedicated credit platform seeking to originate $300 million in debt over the next 12 months. The firm, which manages approximately $4.5 billion in assets, plans to deploy capital through senior bridge loans, mezzanine debt, special situation investments, and note purchases across various U.S. markets.

The platform's target loan sizes will range from $15 million to $75 million, with an investment focus centered primarily on office, life sciences, and hospitality assets. To lead the strategy, Stockdale hired Alec Maki as senior vice president of credit investments. Maki previously spent seven years originating real estate debt at Fortress Investment Group and joins former colleague Chase Jensen, Stockdale's managing director of acquisitions.

Co-founder and managing partner Daniel Michaels indicated the credit strategy will leverage the company's existing operating capabilities to scale debt underwriting and origination. The launch provides property owners facing complex refinancing conditions or bridge liquidity needs an alternative private debt capital source across core commercial property sectors.
