Sylmar-based civil construction firm Tutor Perini Corp. announced that its subsidiaries have secured two new contracts valued at a combined $88.2 million. One contract, worth $45.2 million, was awarded to Guam-based Black Construction by the Guam Department of Public Works. This project entails the reconstruction of two bridges along Route 1, aiming to ensure their long-term functionality and safety for both the local community and U.S. military operations. Work is expected to commence in the coming weeks, with substantial completion targeted for early 2029.

The second contract, a $43 million award, went to Perini Management Services, a Massachusetts-based subsidiary, from the U.S. Coast Guard. This project involves the design and construction of improvements at the Coast Guard’s East Tongue Point facility in Astoria, Oregon. The scope includes building a new fixed pier, two floating docks, and a new cutter support facility to accommodate four fast response cutters, alongside demolition, dredging, and site improvements. Design work began this month, with construction completion anticipated by May 2029.

Both contract values are slated for inclusion in Tutor Perini’s third-quarter backlog. The company continues to manage significant projects, including the $6 billion Metro D Line subway extension in Los Angeles, which is expected to open ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games, demonstrating its diverse project portfolio.
