Cresleigh Homes Begins Foundation Work on 75-Unit Mixed-Use Project in San Francisco

Foundation work has begun at 2918 Mission Street in San Francisco's Mission District, marking a major milestone for an eight-story mixed-use infill development on the site of a former laundromat. Cresleigh Homes is developing the project, having acquired the corner parcel at 25th and Mission streets for $13.5 million in April 2019 following entitlement approvals secured in late 2018.

Designed by Multistudio, the 84-foot-tall structure will span roughly 67,100 square feet. Plans allocate approximately 59,000 square feet to 75 residential apartments alongside 7,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. The architectural design features facade articulation, a setback on the seventh floor, bay windows, and a second-floor outdoor amenity deck with private terraces.

Vertical construction is slated to start in early 2027, followed by interior buildouts later that summer and an estimated completion in early 2028. Located one block from the 24th Street BART station, the project demonstrates how high-density transit-oriented developments are progressing through execution despite extended entitlement-to-construction timelines.
