Santa Clara Commission to Review 44 Townhomes at Agrihood Master Plan

The Santa Clara Planning Commission will review revised development plans for a parcel within the Agrihood master-planned community at 1816 Worthington Circle. The Core Companies is seeking approvals to build 44 townhomes across a 1.8-acre site that was previously entitled for a 16-unit multi-family apartment building.

Designed by Steinberg Hart, the updated scheme comprises five three-story buildings reaching approximately 41 feet in height. The residential program includes 34 two-bedroom units and 10 three-bedroom units. Planned on-site amenities and infrastructure feature parking allocations for 88 vehicles and 44 bicycles. Renderings show articulated facades finished in cement plaster with metal roofing.

The property sits across from the Valley Fair shopping center and two blocks from Santana Row. Cost projections and construction timelines remain unannounced ahead of the public hearing on September 2, 2026.

For residential builders, this pivot from multi-family rental to higher-density ownership townhomes underscores an evolving product strategy for suburban infill master plans.
