Nong Geng Ji Secures 9,900-SF Flagship Lease on Manhattan’s Restaurant Row
Chinese Hunan cuisine brand Nong Geng Ji has finalized a 9,900-square-foot retail lease at 365 West 46th Street, establishing its New York City flagship location. Situated in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood on the renowned Restaurant Row, the three-level space will replace the former Sushi Seki. This marks a significant expansion for Nong Geng Ji, which was founded in 2017 and has grown internationally, opening its first U.S. location earlier this year in Flushing, Queens.
The lease transaction involved Meridian Capital Group representing the tenant, Nong Geng Ji, while Milly Cheung and Jordan Cohen of Lee & Associates NYC represented the landlord, Lucky 11 Group. Although the lease term was not disclosed, the asking rent for the competitive corridor was $55,000 per month. Brokers noted the rarity of a three-level space of this size becoming available on Restaurant Row, a prime location for the Theater District audience. The landlord specifically sought Nong Geng Ji due to its strong brand recognition in China and its plans to adapt dishes with local flavors. This deal underscores the continued demand for prominent retail locations in high-traffic Manhattan areas for established international food and beverage operators.
