New Braunfels Mixed-Use Development Expands Retail Offerings
New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside, a 400-acre mixed-use development situated along Interstate 35 between Austin and San Antonio, continues to expand its retail offerings. Houston-based NewQuest announced the recent openings of CAVA and Potbelly within a new, fully-leased building. This structure will also host Chipotle, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, and Blo Blow Dry Bar. Further development is underway, with Chick-fil-A and Chase Bank having broken ground on new buildings, slated for completion in the second quarter.
The development currently boasts 1 million square feet of retail space and maintains a 97% lease rate. NewQuest plans to add another 100,000 square feet on the southeastern corner, near FM 306 and Sophie Lane, indicating continued growth and demand. The project has attracted significant foot traffic, recording 6.9 million visits over the past year. This expansion highlights the ongoing investment in large-scale retail and mixed-use projects in Texas, with NewQuest also developing other major centers like Texas Heritage Marketplace in Katy and Seguin Exchange in Seguin. For developers and investors, the sustained leasing success and planned expansion at Creekside underscore the viability of well-located, large-scale mixed-use centers in growing Texas markets.
