Hines Announces New Co-CEOs Adam Hines and Laura Hines-Pierce
Global real estate powerhouse Hines, headquartered in Houston, has unveiled a significant leadership transition set to take effect on January 1, 2027. Adam Hines will ascend to the role of Co-CEO, joining Laura Hines-Pierce, who has served as Co-CEO for over five years. Both are grandchildren of the company's founder, Gerald D. Hines.
Jeff Hines, who previously shared the Co-CEO position with his daughter Laura, will transition to Chairman. In this new capacity, he will provide strategic advice to the new Co-CEOs, stepping back from daily operational management. Additional executive appointments include David Steinbach as President and Alfonso Munk as Global CIO.
The new Co-CEOs expressed their vision for Hines, emphasizing the firm's existing scale and successful strategy. They aim to leverage nearly 70 years of local knowledge and investment discipline to explore expanded opportunities within the built world, moving beyond traditional real estate definitions. Hines, founded in 1957, manages approximately $91 billion in assets globally and has developed numerous iconic Houston properties, including high-rise towers and residential communities. This leadership shift signals a continued focus on growth and adapting to evolving market dynamics for the global firm.
