Partners Capital Acquires Three Houston Shopping Centers, Nearing $1 Billion in Total Transactions
Partners Capital, the investment platform of Houston-based Partners Real Estate, has acquired three neighborhood shopping centers in northwest Houston, marking a significant step towards reaching $1 billion in total transactions. This latest investment, made through Partners Capital’s Opportunity Fund VI, includes the Town Square Shopping Center, The Exchange Shopping Center, and Boardwalk Shopping Center, all located along Highway 6 in the Copperfield area. The combined Highway 6 Retail Portfolio spans 116,143 square feet.
The acquisition provides Partners Capital with a substantial presence on a key retail corridor known for its heavy traffic and affluent surrounding residential base. Andrew Pappas, Partner and President of Partners Capital, highlighted the strategic advantage of gaining scale in this area. The firm plans to enhance the value of these assets through active asset management, including a full renovation of Town Square Shopping Center to match recent modernizations at The Exchange and Boardwalk.
The seller, the David Weekley family, was represented by John Indelli and Zamar Salas of JLL. This transaction contributes to Partners Capital’s decade-long history of completing over $950 million in deals across nine investment funds. For developers and investors, this acquisition underscores the continued appeal of well-located retail properties in growing urban submarkets, particularly those offering opportunities for property improvements and increased tenant value.
