Portman has initiated construction on Gateway 1960, a new three-building industrial park located in Houston. This significant development, situated along FM 1960 at Aldine Westfield Road, just north of George Bush Intercontinental Airport, will add 714,233 square feet of industrial space to the market. The project is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2027.

The industrial park will feature a 440,323-square-foot cross-dock building, a 157,723-square-foot front-load facility, and a 116,293-square-foot rear-load building. These structures are designed for flexible configurations, including spec office space, LED lighting, and dock-high loading with levelers, allowing for immediate occupancy upon delivery. Fritz Wyler, Portman's managing director of industrial, emphasized the strategic location, offering regional and national users seamless access to key transportation corridors and the airport.

Angler Construction is serving as the general contractor, with Powers Brown Architecture as the architect and Langan as the civil engineer. This project underscores the robust activity in the Houston industrial market, which continues to see strong demand for new, move-in-ready facilities. For developers and investors, Gateway 1960 represents a substantial addition to the region's logistics and distribution infrastructure.
