Landmark Properties Delivers 1,261-Bed Student Complex Near USC
Landmark Properties has completed construction on The Standard, a major student housing development located at 3900 S. Figueroa St. in Los Angeles. Situated less than half a mile from the University of Southern California campus, the newly opened complex features 429 residential units comprising 1,261 beds. The unit mix ranges from studio apartments to five-bedroom layouts, with every unit equipped with kitchens, dedicated in-unit laundry, and private bathrooms for each bedroom.
The project marks Landmark's second ground-up residential delivery in the Los Angeles market, following an earlier project completed near UCLA. In addition to ground-up builds, the developer has expanded its local footprint by purchasing existing student properties, including Icon Plaza and West 27th Place near USC.
Purpose-built student housing near major urban universities continues to draw institutional investment and development capital. For multifamily builders and lenders, the delivery highlights sustained demand for high-density, off-campus student accommodation tailored with bed-bath parity in constrained infill locations.
