Olson Urban Housing Proposes 159 Townhomes in Monterey Park Redevelopment
Seal Beach-based Olson Urban Housing plans to redevelop an 8-acre site in Monterey Park, replacing two empty office buildings with a new residential community. The proposal, located at 601 Potrero Grande Drive, consists of 159 attached townhomes, featuring a mix of two- and three-story designs.
The development will offer floor plans ranging from 1,100 to 2,000 square feet. As part of a density bonus request, the project will set aside 16 homes for moderate-income families, with eight of those reserved for very low-income households. Designed by KTGY, the community will feature private walkways and driveways. This project is one of several infill developments Olson Homes is pursuing across Los Angeles County, focusing on converting underutilized commercial properties into housing.
