Juanita’s Foods has agreed to relocate and consolidate its Southern California production operations to a 120,000-square-foot industrial property located at 13100 Arctic Circle in Santa Fe Springs. The food manufacturer will shift operations from its long-standing manufacturing plant in Wilmington after completing an extensive nationwide site selection process.

The relocation represents the initial closed transaction supported by the Big 4 alliance, an economic partnership established in October 2025 by Commerce, Santa Fe Springs, Vernon, and the City of Industry. The regional coalition coordinates industrial recruitment to minimize inter-city competition across an aggregate base of roughly 250 million square feet of industrial space and approximately 5,000 businesses. Under the arrangement, Juanita’s Foods receives municipal incentives and accelerated project permitting.

The Arctic Circle property was acquired by LBA Logistics in December 2019. In May 2025, private equity firm Apex Capital purchased a majority stake in Juanita’s Foods, while the founding De La Torre family maintained a minority holding.

For industrial developers and landlords, municipal cooperation models offering streamlined permitting can significantly alter tenant retention dynamics across competitive submarkets.
