Keech Properties Acquires 87-Unit Sunsweet Apartments in Morgan Hill for $45 Million
Keech Properties, a firm based in Redwood City, California, has finalized the acquisition of the Sunsweet Apartments in Morgan Hill for $45 million. The 87-unit multifamily property, located at 90 E. 3rd St., was sold by Republic Urban Properties, a developer based in San Jose. Completed in 2020, the Sunsweet Apartments complex occupies a 1.9-acre site and offers a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residential units.
The development also incorporates approximately 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, adding a mixed-use component. Amenities for residents include a resort-style pool, a fitness center, a clubhouse, electric vehicle charging stations, and various outdoor communal spaces. The transaction was brokered by Northmarq's Anthony Pappageorge and Zach LeBeouf, who acted on behalf of the seller. This significant deal underscores the ongoing demand for modern, amenity-rich multifamily properties in the Silicon Valley area, particularly in submarkets like Morgan Hill, which is situated about 10 miles south of San Jose. For developers and investors, this sale demonstrates the strong market for recently constructed residential assets with integrated retail.
