The final environmental impact report has been released for the UC Berkeley Space Center, a proposed 2.3-million-square-foot academic and research hub located at the NASA Research Park in Mountain View. Developed by Moffett Partners LLC—a joint venture between The Regents of the University of California and SKS Partners—the master plan establishes the core development parameters for the institutional campus.

The project programming includes 1.39 million square feet of lab space, 350,000 square feet of office space, and 260,000 square feet dedicated to academic facilities. Plans also encompass 200,000 square feet of residential space designed to accommodate 363 permanent residents and 200 short-term guests, alongside a 25,000-square-foot conference venue. The project design and engineering team includes HOK, Field Operations, LMS Architects, and Arup.

Work is slated to roll out across four sequential phases. If groundbreaking occurs in mid-2027, total completion could stretch to 2041, setting up long-term development activity in the Silicon Clara County market.
