The initial environmental review study has been published for the Emory Street Townhomes, an 18-unit residential project slated for San Jose's Alameda neighborhood. The development, proposed by Campbell-based Pinion Property Company, aims to construct 18 three-story townhomes across five structures on a roughly one-acre site at the corner of The Alameda and Emory Street.

The property, which has been vacant since 1965, will include 7,400 square feet of common open space, featuring a private paseo and setback landscaping. The Dahlin Group is responsible for the design. The city of San Jose is currently accepting public comments on the initial study through October 8th, 2026, a crucial step in the project's approval process.

Construction is anticipated to take approximately 18 months from groundbreaking to completion. The publication of the environmental review marks a significant regulatory milestone, allowing developers, architects, and land-use attorneys to assess potential impacts and the project's path forward.
