The Davis Cos. Puts 16-Building Historic Multifamily Portfolio on Market in Boston
The Davis Cos. has listed a portfolio of 16 historic residential properties totaling 130 units across Boston's Beacon Hill and Back Bay neighborhoods. Dubbed the Sentry XVI portfolio, the assets are being marketed by Boston Realty Advisors.
The offering includes 15 buildings located on Myrtle, Joy, Temple, Phillips, and Anderson streets in Beacon Hill, alongside a single Back Bay property at 503 Beacon St. Constructed between 1880 and 1920, the individual buildings range in size from three to 20 units. The properties are situated near major institutions including Massachusetts General Hospital, the Financial District, and the Massachusetts State House.
Brokers noted that assembling a collection of this size in Beacon Hill is exceptionally rare due to high barriers to entry. The listing offers immediate scale for value-add investors, long-term holders, or operators evaluating adaptive reuse strategies. This marketing effort follows Davis's recent $37.5 million sale of a 93-unit Fenway residential portfolio to Egeria Group.
For multifamily investors, the disposition offers a rare opportunity to acquire concentrated historical residential inventory within supply-constrained core Boston submarkets.
