Nonprofit Pursuit Transformation Leases 41,000 SF at Long Island City’s The Jacx
Pursuit Transformation, a nonprofit that trains adults for technology careers, has signed a 41,000-square-foot lease to move its New York City headquarters to the Jacx, a 700,000-square-foot office development in Long Island City, Queens. Tishman Speyer owns the property, and Newmark brokered the deal on the tenant side, with Daniel Levine and David Falk representing Pursuit. The lease covers the 14th and 15th floors at 28-07 Jackson Avenue and is described as long-term. Pursuit is leaving its current headquarters on Austell Place in the same neighborhood, though the move date was not disclosed. The asking rent was also not disclosed. Listings cited in the article put average Long Island City office asking rents between roughly $30 and more than $100 per square foot. Separately, Pursuit is leading a new AI Jobs Institute announced by Governor Kathy Hochul. For developers and landlords, the deal shows continued tenant demand for well-amenitized Long Island City office space outside Manhattan.
