Jackson Walker Takes About 110,000 SF at The Republic in Downtown Austin
Law firm Jackson Walker has signed a lease for roughly 110,000 square feet at The Republic, a 48-story office building in downtown Austin. The firm will take three mid-level floors in the recently completed tower.
CBRE advised Jackson Walker during the lease negotiations. The building is owned by a partnership that includes DivcoWest, based in San Francisco, Phoenix Property Group and Lincoln Property Co. Lincoln is also responsible for leasing the property.
The deal shows continued demand for large blocks of newly delivered Class A office space in Austin's central business district, particularly from professional services tenants seeking modern buildings. The transaction was reported on October 22, 2026.
Practical implication: landlords of new downtown towers continue to lease large floor plates to anchor tenants, so brokers and owners should track pre-leasing activity in comparable Austin buildings.
