Arcadia Approves 130-Unit Mixed-Use Development Near A Line Station
The City of Arcadia has approved plans for North Village, a transit-oriented mixed-use development located at 225 North 2nd Avenue, situated one block east of the Metro A Line station. The proposal is led by an affiliate of Giantech Construction, Inc.
Designed by HP Wu Design & Associates, the six-story podium project will feature 130 residential units, spanning studio to three-bedroom floor plans, over ground-floor commercial space and parking for 187 vehicles. Under the conditions of approval, the developer must deed-restrict 20 apartments for households earning up to 80 percent of the area median income for a term of 45 years. Planned amenities encompass over 17,000 square feet, including coworking space, club rooms, and a fitness center.
Work is projected to break ground in early 2027, with final delivery scheduled by late 2028. The development adds to growing infill momentum near Arcadia's transit hub, joining nearby residential builds such as the Alexan Azalea apartments.
This approval highlights the continued expansion of high-density, mixed-income infill development along Los Angeles County's suburban light rail corridors.
