Yamaha Motor Corp. Sells 25-Acre Industrial-Zoned Campus in Cypress, California
Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A. has completed the sale of its former U.S. headquarters campus, located at 6555 Katella Avenue in Cypress, California. The property, situated in Orange County, encompasses 25 acres and is zoned for industrial use. It includes three distinct buildings: one industrial, one flex, and one office structure, collectively offering approximately 278,964 square feet of space.
This campus has served as Yamaha's primary U.S. base since 1979. The transaction's terms were not disclosed. As part of a strategic corporate relocation to Kennesaw, Georgia, Yamaha will maintain occupancy of the entire property through a leaseback agreement, which is set to conclude on December 31, 2028. Avison Young's Patrick Barnes, Paul Clark, Nick Slonek, and Jae Estep represented Yamaha in the deal.
For developers and investors, this sale presents a significant infill opportunity for a large, industrially-zoned site in a desirable Southern California market, with a clear timeline for future redevelopment or repositioning.
