Rainbow Investment Co. Breaks Ground on 52,600 SF Medical Office Project in La Mesa
Rainbow Investment Co. has commenced construction on the Cush Medical Plaza, a new 52,600-square-foot medical office development in La Mesa, California. Located next to the Sharp Grossmont Hospital campus in San Diego County, the project aims to expand healthcare infrastructure in the region.
The two-story building is designed to accommodate flexible, multi-tenant medical office uses on its first floor. The upper floor will house the Sharp Family Residency Clinic, a combined facility for family practice and physician residency training. This clinic will include a lounge, sleep rooms, showers, charting spaces, a training room, and fully functional exam and consult rooms for patient care.
Key project collaborators include Ware Malcomb, serving as the architect, interior designer, and civil engineer. Turner Construction Co. is the general contractor, with 12 Alpha managing the project. Leasing efforts for the new medical office space will be handled by Nehal Wadhwa and Matt Melendres of Cushman & Wakefield’s Healthcare Advisory team. This development signifies continued investment in specialized healthcare facilities, offering new opportunities for medical practices and supporting physician training in the area.
