Demolition has concluded at 2800 Telegraph Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County, clearing the site for a new six-story apartment complex. The former single-story commercial structure, owned by Karim Cycles, has been removed, marking a significant step for the residential project sponsored by Elmwood Capital Group.

The upcoming development is designed to feature 17 apartment units, each averaging approximately 1,000 square feet. These units will offer four- and five-bedroom layouts, complete with in-unit washers and dryers, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and living room. Residents will also have access to amenities such as a fitness center, a bike room, and a rooftop deck providing panoramic views of the Bay Area.

Via Design Build is responsible for the development, with renderings depicting a dark brick-veneer facade above a glass-wrapped ground floor. Located on a roughly 0.1-acre trapezoidal parcel at the corner of Telegraph Avenue and Stuart Street, the project is situated near Willard Park and Berkeley Bowl. Construction is anticipated to take around two years from its commencement, adding new housing density to a well-located urban infill site.
