Demolition has concluded for the commercial structure previously located at 2800 Telegraph Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County. This clears the site for the construction of a new six-story apartment complex. The project, sponsored by Elmwood Capital Group, is set to deliver 17 residential units.

Each apartment will average approximately 1,000 square feet, offering four- and five-bedroom layouts. Units are designed with in-unit washers and dryers, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and living room. Future residents will have access to amenities such as a fitness center, a bike room, and a rooftop deck providing panoramic views of the Bay Area. Via Design Build is responsible for the development, with renderings depicting a dark brick-veneer facade above a glass-wrapped ground floor.

The 0.1-acre property is strategically located at the intersection of Telegraph Avenue and Stuart Street, close to Willard Park and Berkeley Bowl. While the estimated construction cost remains undisclosed, work is projected to span approximately two years from groundbreaking to completion. This development will contribute new housing stock to Berkeley’s urban core.
