Construction Advances for Culver Commons Retail Project in Culver City
Construction is actively progressing on the Culver Commons project at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Centinela Avenue in Culver City. Nine months after breaking ground, the development is now seeing concrete work and wood framing taking shape. Upon completion, expected in Spring 2027, the project will feature 13,000 square feet of dedicated restaurant space and provide 145 parking spaces.
Developer Regency Centers is behind the project, with AO serving as the architect of record. Several restaurant and food businesses have already signed leases, including Vox Kitchen, El Moro, Smog City Brewing Co., Rol, and Wanderlust Creamery. Notably, the current iteration of Culver Commons is approximately half the size of its initial vision. Regency Centers had originally planned for a larger market hall component, but this element was officially removed from the project in 2024.
For developers and investors, the project's progress signifies continued demand for commercial retail spaces, particularly in established urban areas like Culver City, despite adjustments to initial development plans.
