Legacy Partners Reaches Framing Milestone on 200-Unit Soto Del Amo in Torrance

Framing is now complete for Soto Del Amo, a new five-story multifamily residential development located at 3863 Carson Street in Torrance, just off Hawthorne Boulevard. The project is being developed as a joint venture between Bay Area firm Legacy Partners and DWS Group, having broken ground last year.

Designed by architectural firm AO, the development will offer 200 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 633 to 1,118 square feet. Residential amenities planned for the building include two courtyards, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, and dedicated co-working areas. The complex also incorporates a six-level parking structure providing 440 vehicle stalls. Westport Construction serves as the general contractor on the build, which remains on track for delivery in summer 2027.

The infill site sits adjacent to other recent residential additions near the Del Amo Fashion Center, including a completed senior living facility to the north and an active 260-unit Lennar townhome project to the east. For developers and investors, the project underscores ongoing multifamily densification surrounding major commercial hubs in the South Bay.
