OCVibe Mixed-Use Development in Anaheim Secures Five New Dining Concepts for Market Hall
The OCVibe mixed-use development in Anaheim, a $5 billion project spearheaded by the Samueli family, has announced the addition of five new dining concepts to its Katella Commons market hall. These new tenants—Don Churros Gomez, MFK | Modern Filipino Kitchen, Mojo, Pull & Roll, and Gelato Paradiso—will introduce diverse cuisines including Mexican, Filipino, Northern Chinese, and Italian to the 21-kitchen market hall, which is expected to open in early 2027.
This expansion is part of OCVibe's broader strategy to establish the area around the Honda Center as a year-round destination, reducing its reliance on professional hockey game days. The development aims to cultivate a consistent customer base through its planned residential, office, hotel, and entertainment components, creating a vibrant district seven days a week.
OCVibe Senior Vice President Scott Frick highlighted the project's unique approach to retail leasing, where ownership fronts substantial initial investments, averaging around $300,000 per stall, and provides ongoing operational support. This model covers kitchen equipment costs, significantly reducing the upfront financial burden on independent chefs and tenants. The 100-acre district, slated for completion by 2033, will ultimately feature over 2,500 residences, more than 35 dining concepts, three entertainment venues, and 20 acres of parks, fostering a more sustainable environment for new culinary businesses.
