Ledcor Properties Begins Framing 644-Unit Central Pointe in Santa Ana
Framing has officially started on Central Pointe, a large-scale mixed-use complex located at 1801 E. 4th Street in Santa Ana. Ledcor Properties originally purchased the site four years ago for $51 million, with general contractor Westport Construction now carrying out structural framing work.
Designed by KTGY, the master plan features two five-story residential buildings wrapping around central parking garages. At full buildout, the project will feature 644 units, offering a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. The ground floor will accommodate approximately 15,000 square feet of street-level retail and dining space, while the parking facilities will hold over 1,300 vehicles and support rooftop amenity decks. Construction will proceed across multiple phases.
The development joins a broader expansion of multifamily housing east of downtown Santa Ana, which already includes more than 900 affordable units progressing along 1st Street.
For real estate developers and investors, Central Pointe demonstrates the ongoing viability of wrap-style, high-density residential infill projects designed to accommodate robust vehicle parking in major Orange County commercial corridors.
