Carrier Connect Leases 4MW Data Center in Alpharetta, Georgia
US data center firm Carrier Connect Data Solutions, through its subsidiary Purecolo, has signed a 15.5-year lease for a 4MW data center located at 1001 Windward Concourse in Alpharetta, Georgia. The facility, totaling 184,555 square feet on 20 acres, is described as move-in ready and increases Carrier Connect's total capacity under management to 11.7MW. The contract includes two five-year renewal options.
Built in 1989 and now owned by Mapletree Industrial Trust, the property was previously leased by General Electric (GE) and operated by GE Digital. Carrier Connect CEO Mark Binns highlighted the deal as a major milestone, expanding the company's power capacity by over 50 percent and establishing a pathway to potentially grow the facility from 4MW to 10MW, pending Georgia Power approval and customer demand. This acquisition of an existing, customer-ready facility bypasses the lengthy process of new construction, offering immediate operational benefits for developers and investors in the data center sector.
