Inglewood’s The Landing Mixed-Use Development, Featuring 222 Units and Retail, Nears Completion
Construction is nearing completion for The Landing, an eight-story mixed-use development located at 939 W. Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood. Developed by Texas-based JPI and designed by TCA Architects, the project introduces 222 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments alongside 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a three-level parking garage. This development, formerly known as The Jefferson, replaced a former car wash site near the K Line.
The complex incorporates 11 affordable housing units, a result of density bonus incentives that allowed for a larger building than standard zoning regulations would permit. Market-rate rents for the property are advertised between $2,335 and $3,985 per month. Residents will have access to amenities such as a pool, a clubroom, a fitness center, and a rooftop deck. JPI is also undertaking similar multifamily projects in Monrovia and Long Beach. For developers and investors, this project exemplifies the strategic use of density bonuses to maximize housing capacity and integrate retail in transit-adjacent locations within the Los Angeles market.
