Toll Brothers Begins Construction on 43-Home Development in Redondo Beach
Toll Brothers has initiated construction on a 43-home residential community situated at 122 Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach. The development, located on a site formerly occupied by a Catholic church, received necessary planning approvals from Redondo Beach officials in February 2026. City Ventures, which managed the entitlement process, secured authorization for a project larger than typically allowed by committing to provide three units for very low-income households, showcasing a common strategy for density bonuses.
This new community, branded as "Toll Brothers at Redondo Beach," will feature three-story townhomes, offering floor plans from 1,400 to 2,200 square feet. Asking prices for these luxury homes are expected to start at $2 million. Nick Norvilas, Toll Brothers group president, emphasized the project's prime coastal location and customizable, luxurious designs. Model homes are anticipated to open to the public in 2027. For developers, architects, and lenders, this project underscores the continued demand for high-value housing in Southern California's sought-after coastal markets, while also illustrating the critical role of affordable housing provisions in navigating local land-use regulations and achieving project feasibility.
