A significant mixed-use development by CIM Group, slated to become the tallest building in West Hollywood, is currently under consideration by the city's Planning Commission. Located at 1000 La Brea Avenue on the former site of a Cemex plant, the project proposes a 34-story tower reaching approximately 377 feet in height. It features 514 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, alongside 30,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 676-car garage.

As a condition for receiving development incentives that enable its scale and density, the project mandates that 128 of the residential units be set aside as affordable housing, catering to moderate-, low-, and very low-income levels. Designed by Large Architecture, the building incorporates multiple terrace decks, outdoor gardens, and modern exterior finishes. Digital signage on the podium levels is also planned, which would generate revenue for both CIM Group and the City of West Hollywood.

This development reflects a broader transformation of the area from industrial uses to public-facing commercial, residential, and hospitality spaces, serving as a gateway into West Hollywood. For developers and investors, the project's progression highlights the potential for large-scale, incentivized mixed-use developments in transitioning urban corridors.
