AC Development Finishes First Phase of Clayworks Mixed-Use Project in Golden, Colorado
AC Development has completed The Pottery, a 188,600-square-foot office building, as the first phase of its Clayworks mixed-use development in Golden, Colorado. This project involves the redevelopment of the 14-acre former CoorsTek ceramics manufacturing site. The Pottery was created through the adaptive reuse of the previous CoorsTek headquarters and manufacturing facilities, incorporating historical elements such as the original brick facade and kiln structures. CoorsTek's global headquarters has returned to this location, where its ceramics operations began in 1910. Both CoorsTek and AC Development teams have moved into the new office space this month. The broader Clayworks plan will transform the industrial campus into a six-block mixed-use neighborhood, featuring office, retail, dining, public spaces, housing, parking, and a boutique hotel. Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters is the first retail tenant announced, set to open on The Pottery's ground floor this quarter. This development signifies a significant urban revitalization, bringing new commercial and residential opportunities to Golden.
