Trademark Property Co. Breaks Ground on Whole Foods-Anchored Retail District in Cypress
Trademark Property Co., in partnership with MetLife Investment Management, is set to break ground on Dunham Pointe, a significant 202,000-square-foot retail and restaurant district in Cypress, Texas. Financing for the project, provided by PNC Bank, has been secured, with construction slated to begin on October 1. This development will be anchored by a Whole Foods Market, marking its first location in Cypress, alongside 13 other committed tenants including Nordstrom Rack, Shake Shack, and Solidcore.
Located at Mason Road and Highway 290, the 25-acre retail village is an integral part of the 1,300-acre Dunham Pointe master-planned community. The community has seen strong residential growth, with over 1,000 new homes sold since 2021. According to Trademark CEO Terry Montesi, this project signals a new retail development cycle, responding to record-low national retail vacancy and an undersupplied market. Dunham Pointe Development, the master plan developer, envisions further multifamily, townhome, medical, and commercial uses. The retail center is crucial for providing amenities and services to the rapidly expanding residential base, validating the vision for a complete community.
