American Housing Corp Launches Austin Division With Prefab Infill Rowhome Focus

American Housing Corporation has launched a homebuilding division in Austin and appointed three executives to run it. The company is ramping up an infill-focused platform built around prefabricated rowhomes, with Austin serving as the launch market for that strategy.

Parker Scott, a former division president at LGI Homes, will serve as general manager, with more than 20 years of sales and operations experience. Daniel Green, who previously held senior construction roles at Homebound, ATCO Structures and Perry Homes, will be director of construction operations. Luke Allen, formerly of Lennar and Ashton Woods, will be director of land and oversee acquisition, underwriting and pipeline development.

The company completed a componentized, prefabricated prototype called Demo 2 in October and is building a 250,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Southeast Austin. The facility is designed to produce up to 1,200 homes annually. The company also restructured its real estate operations and parted ways with co-founder Bobby Fijan.

The move targets "missing middle" housing in high-cost markets where greenfield sites are scarce. Factory-scale production aims to standardize output and shorten schedules, which could matter to lenders underwriting cycle times and construction risk.
