In a move to directly address the housing crisis, nonprofit developer Linc Housing plans to redevelop its own property in Long Beach.
The organization will tear down its current single-story, 13,100-square-foot office to construct a new five-story building.
The new complex will feature 109 affordable apartments designated for families earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area median income.
The project will also include replacement ground-floor office space for Linc Housing’s headquarters and parking for 69 cars.
Funding for the development is supported by a $39.8 million grant from the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency using Measure A funds.
This project is part of Linc Housing’s broader effort to expand the supply of affordable and supportive housing across California, where it currently manages over 10,000 units.
