Downtown Fort Worth Building at 907 Houston Street Sells Amidst Area Revitalization
A 7,131-square-foot, three-story building located at 907 Houston Street in downtown Fort Worth has recently been sold to a company associated with The Federalist Society. This transaction highlights the increasing real estate activity in the southern part of downtown, an area experiencing significant revitalization. The 1905-era building, which underwent a major renovation in 2017 and received a new roof in 2024, was listed with an asking price of $1.8 million and valued at $1.5 million by the Tarrant Appraisal District.
The sale was facilitated by Shane Benner and Courtney Stanford of Bradford, representing seller 907 Houston Street LLC. Buyers emphasized the property's strategic location, close to the ongoing $700 million expansion of the Fort Worth Convention Center and Texas A&M University's substantial $1.5 billion investment. Despite lacking dedicated parking, a common challenge in historic urban properties, the buyers successfully addressed this. The building offers three floors of office space, a basement, an elevator, and a rooftop with potential for activation, providing views of downtown.
This sale is part of a broader trend, with other recent deals including the Farm & Home Savings building, now slated for an Al Biernat’s steakhouse, and Jun Crown Properties' anticipated $4.3 million acquisition of multiple properties, including the Lone Star Gas building. Developers and investors should note the sustained interest and investment flowing into this specific Fort Worth submarket, driven by large-scale public and private projects.
