A staff presentation to the West Hollywood Planning Commission has unveiled updated renderings for a proposed office complex on the iconic Sunset Strip. Developer Faring, based in West Hollywood, is behind the project, which seeks to transform a former car dealership site at 9160-9176 Sunset Boulevard.

The plan outlines a five-story structure featuring 52,999 square feet of modern office space, complemented by ground-floor commercial units and an 85-car subterranean garage. Gensler serves as the architect, incorporating design elements such as terraced decks, upper-level setbacks, and offset floor plans. These features are intended to create outdoor tenant spaces and mitigate the building's visual impact on the adjacent residential neighborhood to the south.

While digital displays are being considered for the exterior, their approval process is separate from the main building. Pending necessary approvals from the City of West Hollywood and other agencies, construction is projected to span approximately 19 months. This development signifies ongoing efforts to revitalize commercial corridors within West Hollywood, offering new office inventory while addressing community integration through thoughtful design.
