Menlo Park Approves Mixed-Use Residential and Office Project at 800 Oak Grove Avenue
Menlo Park has granted approval for a new mixed-use development located at 800 Oak Grove Avenue and 1221 Crane Street. The project, spearheaded by Menlo Park-based Prince Street Partners, involves the construction of a six-story residential building alongside the renovation of an existing two-story commercial structure.
The residential component will span approximately 46,420 square feet and feature 15 apartment units, including 12 two-bedroom, 2 three-bedroom, and a four-bedroom penthouse. Notably, one of these units will be designated as affordable housing. The commercial aspect involves converting a vacant 15,770-square-foot Comerica Bank building into a non-medical office space, complete with a new rooftop deck.
The 0.75-acre property is strategically located at the intersection of Oak Grove Avenue and Crane Street, offering future residents proximity to retail along Santa Cruz Avenue and the Menlo Park Caltrain station. While architectural designs by Prince Street Partners and Pacific Peninsula Group feature limestone tiles, stucco, and plaster facades, the estimated construction cost and timeline have not yet been disclosed. This approval paves the way for increased housing density and commercial revitalization in a transit-accessible area of Menlo Park.
