Burlington and Marshalls Open as New Anchors at Miami’s Dadeland Station
Dadeland Station, a prominent 350,000-square-foot, three-level retail power center situated in Miami, has recently announced the opening of two new anchor tenants: Burlington and Marshalls. Burlington commenced operations in August, with Marshalls following suit in September. These off-price retailers collectively contribute approximately 62,000 square feet of newly leased space to the property's extensive footprint.
The arrival of these national brands further diversifies the center's tenant mix, which already features established retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Michaels, and PetSmart, alongside a variety of dining options and service providers like Starbucks Coffee and Avis. Berkowitz Development Group maintains a 60 percent majority stake in Dadeland Station, having been responsible for its management and operation since its initial construction in 1996. The remaining 40 percent is held by investment partners.
This significant leasing activity at Dadeland Station highlights the sustained appeal and vitality of the retail sector in the Miami market. For real estate developers, architects, and investors, the successful integration of new anchor tenants into an existing, large-scale power center signals continued consumer demand and retailer confidence, which can inform future development strategies and property valuations in the region.
