Miami Lakes Developer Plans 71-Unit Affordable Senior Housing Project in Miami-Dade
A Miami Lakes-based developer has taken the first step toward a senior housing project in Miami-Dade County. Redland Crossing Senior Living, led by Centennial Management Corp. through its affiliate LVS Naranja LLC, is planned as a seven-story building with 71 apartments. Units would include one- and two-bedroom layouts across roughly 70,000 square feet of new construction.
Every unit would be designated affordable. The county defines that term as housing reserved for households earning at or below 140 percent of area median income, and it cited a median income of $87,200 as of 2025. Planned amenities include a clubroom, a fitness center and 41 parking spaces. Gallo Herbert Architecture is the architect.
The site covers 0.79 acres west of the existing Redland Crossings apartment complex, also owned by Centennial. The project is in the pre-application stage, meaning the team is gathering community feedback before filing a formal application. The developer's pipeline also includes Santa Cruz Isles, an eight-story, 120-unit senior building in Leisure City.
For builders and lenders, the signal is that affordable senior product is advancing in south Miami-Dade, and the pre-application period is the window to influence site plans before formal review begins.
